Tournament Management
The Golf Tournament Management (GTM) Program provides complete and easy to use capabilities to set
up and score your club tournaments and golf outings. The program replaced our acclaimed Golf
Tournament Pairings (GTP) and Golf Tournament Scoring (GTS) programs in 2003. It integrates the
features of both programs in a single Windows application that enables you to complete your tournament
tasks more easily, more quickly, and with greater flexibility.
Pairings Features
You've been through it all before -- finalize the tournament entrants; collect current handicap information;
muddle through the formation of flights and/or the pairing of teams; assign start times, tees and carts; fill
out the scorecards with all those damn little dots. And then do it again when the player field changes.
At best, tournament setup is a time consuming and burdensome task. At worst, it's a royal pain. Until
now! GTM takes most all of the burden and pain out of preparing for a golf tournament. In fact, it makes it
fun. Plus, the time savings are tremendous and the professional image of your events will never be better.

GTM starts with a Master List of all
your members or players and their
handicap information. The list can
be updated easily (automatically
from the GHM Handicap Program,
the GHIN System, and other
handicap software).
Selecting players for a given
tournament is as easy as clicking
the SELECT check box as you scan
through the Master List. Adding
outside players is as easy as filling
in the blanks at the bottom of the
list of players. If you don't wish to
use your Master List you can create
a grouped player list from scratch
with fill-in-the-blanks simplicity.
The formation of Flights is as easy
as asking GTM to do it. The
program automatically forms flights
of individual players or teams
based on the number of flights you
desire or handicap ranges.

Player Groupings/Pairings can also be done
automatically. One method is to ask for low
to high handicap groupings for a group size
you specify. Another is AB, ABC, ABCD,
ABCDE, ABCDEF pairings which are done in
the commonly used serpentine method. You
can also group players any way you like just
by entering an assigned Group Number on a
fill-in-the-blanks screen.
Once your final Player List is formed you can
go on to assign Start Times and Tees, either
automatically in defined time periods or on a
user-selected basis, and prepare Player List
Reports in Alphabetic and/or Start Times/Tee
sequence.
Finally, GTM prints fully-stroked Scorecards
(with all the dotting done for you) and Cart
Signs - even Bag Tag Labels if you wish.
Preprinted forms for laser and inkjet printers
are available from us. Scorecards and Cart
Signs can be printed for the entire field or
selected player groups.
When your player groupings are complete you are presented with a confirmation screen from which you
can make any required adjustments, including the swapping of players from group to group.
Last-minute player field changes? Not to worry! GTM provides a fast and convenient Player List Update
capability for minor changes or even a complete re-pairing of the entire field. Player Lists created by GTM
are completely compatible and ready to use for tournament scoring. You can go right from tournament
setup to scoring. The following list summarizes GTM's Pairings Features.

Scoring Features
How would you like to have the complete final results of a tournament of 200+ players, in up to five
Individual and Team scoring categories, complete with your choice of tiebreak, and matched to prize lists
in a presentation-ready format just a few minutes after the last score is in? That's the bottom line of
GTM's scoring capabilities. And, oh yes, you can also run Skins Games - Gross and/or Net, Individual or
Team - in addition to the standard scoring results.
GTM provides a comprehensive set of features for tournament scoring. This is computerized scoring at its
flexible best: single round or events up to four rounds; a single player field or flights; Individual play, Team
play or a combination of both at the same time; USGA handicaps, Callaway/Peoria players, or a mixture of
the two in the same player field; a large array of scoring formats; any number of balls in best-ball
calculations, including selectable by hole; a choice of four different tiebreak methods; and more.

Despite its large number of flexible features, GTM is very easy to use. We've built the program for those
who know about golf tournaments, not necessarily about computers. Your use of the program is guided
by simple drop-down menus, straightforward information entry and processing via option buttons, check
boxes, text boxes, etc. Plus, there's a comprehensive built-in Help System that you can access as you
work without the need for a lengthy printed user guide.
Scores entry is very fast via a Scorecard Facsimile entry screen. You simply enter a Group Number and
GTM presents the players for scoring. Hole scores are entered with just the score number -- movement
from hole to hole is automatic without the need to use other keys. You can even do partial scoring and
return to a player group at any time to complete the scoring, a feature that is especially useful for Shotgun
events. You can also do player group changes "on the fly" during scoring.

Optional attractive scoring reports for each player group are available during scoring (the 19th hole will
never be the same). And, of course, you can be certain that the scoring is absolutely accurate.
Final results are obtained as easily as asking for them. Separate results are provided, complete with
tiebreaking, for each scoring category (and by Flights if used). For tiebreaking you can choose from four
methods: The USGA method of Last 9/Last 6/Last 3/#18, the last six holes, any six holes you choose, or
the Canadian Retrogression method. Skins Games results can be based on full-field or selective
participation, on a single game or within flights, and with or without Carryovers. There's also an option for
including financial results based on a fixed skin value or a total money pool based on a participant entry
fee.
In addition to the main tournament results and Skins Games, there are a number of Special Results
Reports that you can obtain for the asking. Included in these "on the side" results are Individual Net
Versus Par, Blind Bogey, Blind Holes, Beat the Pro, Deuce Pot and Birdies Plus. The Prize List matching
feature includes a capability to limit players and teams to a single Gross or Net prize -- GTM does all the
time consuming "juggling" for you.
Match Play Pairings based on scores from a qualifying round can be formed in bracket sizes of 8, 16 or 32
players. Finally, Tournament Analysis provides a statistical summary of the tournament scores, including
a ranking of your course holes versus the handicap hole ratings of your course.
