Introduction

Welcome to SportsWare's Nassau Round Robin Program, flexible software that will enable you to conduct a wide variety of informal golf competitions more easily, more accurately, and with a professional image that will be attractive to your players.

When the Nassau Round Robin was first developed in 1988 in response to a PGA Show request by professional John Frillman of the Happy Hollow Country Club in Omaha Nebraska, the only competition it supported was a Nassau Match Play event on an "Everybody Plays Everybody" basis (hence its name).  Since then, based on the suggestions of customers, additional features have been added to the extent that you can now include any or all of the following in a single event:
  • "Everybody Plays Everybody" Nassau* Match Play -- the original feature.
  • "One Player/Team Against the Field" Nassau* Match Play" - a variation of the original where a single
player or team plays matches against all other players or teams.
  • Swing Team Nassau* - Another variation where a designated 2-player team plays matches against teams
formed from every 2-player combination of individual players.
  • Individual or Team Gross and/or Net Stroke Play
  • Individual or Team Gross and/or Net Skins Games

The results of all of the competitions include complete financial results based on wager amounts you specify.

*Note: Nassau events normally include separate units of competition for the Front 9, Back 9 and Overall 18 holes.  The program gives you the option of restricting the competition to just the Overall 18 - that is, Front 9 and Back 9 wagering is not done.

Documentation of the program consists of this Help System and a printed User Guide.  The Help System is available "inline" as you use the program. You can access it via the "Help" choice from the Program Menu Screen or by pressing the F1 Key from most of the display screens in the program.  Once you are into the Help material by any means, Contents and Index tabs are available for access to other Help topics.  A summary of the Help Topics in this Help System is provided below.  We suggest you start your exploration of the program with the two Overview topics and a quick read through the User Guide.  The User Guide contains installation instructions and samples of printed reports.

Note: Most of the display screen illustrations in the Help System are 75% of their actual size during program operation.
