Results

The illustrated submenu gives you access to all the various results that can be processed in a round robin event. The following sections describe and illustrate the choices. All results are displayed in scrollable screen windows and can be printed via a command button. Samples of the printed reports are included in the User Guide.
Everybody Plays Everybody
This report summarizes the overall results by player/team of the basic round robin competition, including the matches Won/Lost/Tied for both Nines, the Overall 18, Presses (if used), and the financial results.
The illustration is for an event with Net competition. If an event has both Gross and Net competitions the Gross results are displayed first along with a Net Results button that provides access the illustrated Net results. Clicking the Print Report button provides printed reports for both competitions.
Note the scroll bar on the right of the display. It provides access to additional results when the number of players or teams exceeds the size of the list box.
When you conclude the results display via the Exit button, you are presented with an input box with which you can request an Individual Player Report for each player/team in the event. These reports have the same format as that illustrated and show a participant's results against each of the other participants; they are available in both displayed and printed form.
One Against the Field
This competition is a subset of the basic round robin. That is, rather than have everybody play everybody, just one "Wheel" player or team plays against the other participants. For example, in an event with 20 players the Wheel player will compete in 19 matches; the remaining participants will play a single match against the Wheel player. The illustrated input box is used for your entry of the name of the Wheel player/team. The report for this competition is the same as the Individual Player Report described above..
Swing Team
You may have noticed that your Event Specifications did not include an item for selecting a Swing Team competition. That's because Swing Team results can be prepared "after the fact" from your scoring data simply by entering the names of the Swing Team players on the illustrated display screen. When this screen is presented only the top portion is visible, along with an Enter button; the results are calculated and displayed when you click this button after entering the two Swing Team names.
Recall that a Swing Team competition involves matches between the Swing Team and all other 2-player combinations in the field. The results for the non-Swing Team players are their total individual results. If you wish to see the results of each match between the Swing Team and the other 2-player combinations, you can do so via an input box that is presented when you click the Exit button. The format of these results is similar to the Individual Player Report described above; the reports are available in both displayed and printed form.
The Swing Team is the one event where the program does better-ball calculations. If you choose the Differential Mehtod for handicap strokes allocation, the program also determines the low handicap player in each match and assigns that player a handicap of zero after computing handicaps for the other players in the match based on the difference between their full handicaps and the full handicap of the low handicap player. The only Presss used for a Swing Team event is the Back 9 Only press.
Skins Games
As illustrated, this report provides both the Skins winners and the financial information for the Skins Game(s). The illustration is for a Net game. If both Gross and Net games have been specified, the results of the Gross game are displayed first, along with a Net Results button that provides access to the Net results. The Print Report button from the Net results display produces a printed report for the game(s) you have specified. The Exit button returns you to the Program menu.
Hole-by-Hole Scores
These reports are available in both displayed and printed form and are available for both Gross and Net scores. The report is illustrated in the User Guide. Note that the report content is the scores of the individual players and that the Net report is based on players' full handicaps. Net scores based the the "effective handicap" used with the Differential Method of handicap strokes allocation, and better-ball scores of teams in a Swing Event, are not provided.
Results Reprocessing
As described elsewhere in the Help System, an attractive feature of the program is the capability to reprocess event results with different specifications without having to re-enter scores. For example, you can change Wager Amounts, add or delete Presses, add Skins Games if they were not originally specified, add or delete Carryovers from Skins Games, etc. If you wish to use this feature, choose "Change Event Specs" from the program menu and provide the specifications you wish to use. A message box informs you that you must then select "Scoring" from the menu and then immediately exit scoring to have the program calculate new results with your changed specifications.
