Tournament Results
When your scoring is complete you are ready for you final tournament task -- producing Results. Your results are conveniently available in both displayed and printed form.
The first thing you will see when you choose Main Tournament Results from the Results submenu is an overlay screen on the main results screen on which you specify whether your tournament is a Single-Day or Multi-Day tournament. In either case you are next presented with the main results screen as described below. It applies to a Single-Day event or the current day of a Multi-Day event. (Click the Multi-Day Results link at the end of this topic for a description of how you produce cumulative results for a Multi-Day event.)
You will next see thhe following screen for displaying and printing your tournament results.

To produce a display of results on this screen simply select, one at a time, the options button in the Select Results area that correspond to the Scoring Categories you have specified for the tournament. Only the option buttons for the categories you have specified are active. The selected results are then displayed along with a vertical scroll bar for navigating through the complete report. To produce a printed copy of the results simply click the Print Report button. Note that this button produces a printed report only for the presently displayed results. Thus, just like you view the results for one Scoring Category at a time, you print the results in the same way. When you have finished viewing and printing your results, click the Exit Results button. For Single-Day events you will be returned to the Program Menu screen; for Multi-Day events you will next see the Multi-Day Results screen.
The PDF File button is used to create PDF files of the scoring results as displayed. Separate file names, e.g. IndividualNet.pdf, are used for each of the available result types. The files are placed in the data folder of the active Tournament Number (e.g. in C:\TRNLIST\TRNx, where "x" is the Tournament Number). Its content is also displayed via Adobe Acrobat Reader and can be printed via that program's File Menu or Printer Icon. When you exit Adobe Acrobat Reader vis File/Exit you are returned to the above screen.
The most common use of the PDF files is as an attachment to emails to your players to inform them of the tournament results. You may find this a useful way to follow up with your tournament entrants as an incentive for future participation Note that use of the feature requires that the Adobe Acrobat Reader program be installed on both your computer and the computer of those who receive the email. Because this program is free and is readily available for download from the Internet, this requirement should not be a limitation.
Note that some of the Scoring Formats have a slightly different presentation of results choices. For example, for the Par Quota team scoring format you choose between Team Gross Scores and Team Points; you can view and print either or both separately.
