Gift Certificates Printing
If the Prize Lists for your tournament consist of dollar amounts to be presented in the form of Gift Certificates, you can print the certificates on special forms provided by SportsWare.
Use of this feature has a set of requirements that are presented in the illustrated Input Box when you select the feature from the Results Menu. In a nutshell, you must have Prize Lists for your tournament's Scoring Categories with prizes in a dollar-amount format without a $ sign (e.g. 100.00); must have completed Scoring and processed Results and Prize List Matching; and must have the SportsWare Gift Certificate forms. If all these requirements are met, click the OK button to accept the "Y" (Yes) response and proceed. If the requirements are not met, you can exit by entering the letter "N" (No) in the box and clicking the OK button, or by clicking the Cancel button.
When you proceed, this form is presented to obtain your options and information, and to print the gift certificates for the Scoring Categories you select. For Output you may choose to print certificates only or both certificates and a Redemption Report that lists all the certificate recipients and amounts, with spaces for checking off redeemed certificates and recording the redemption date. You may also choose to use Sequence Numbers on the certificates. If used, you may choose to reset the numbers for the current tournament or use continuous numbers from tournament to tournament. The Establishment Name and Tournament Name entries are self-explanatory. Once it is provided for any tournament, the Establishment Name is presented automatically in subsequent uses of the feature. The Tournament Name is always presented automatically. Both can be edited if you wish.
The Scoring Categories area contains active option buttons for the scoring categories used in your tournament. You can choose to print certificates for any or all of the active categories for which you have Prize Lists. The method for processing certificate printing is as follows: click the option button for a scoring category and then click the Process button. Printing of the certificates for the selected category will proceed; when it's complete the option button for the category will be deactivated. You may then select another active category and click the Process button again. When you have finished printing for all the categories you wish, click the Finished button. If you have specified Certificates Only you are returned to the Program Menu screen. If you have specified printing of the Redemption Report, a Message Box (not illustrated) is presented that asks you to remove any remaining certificate forms from the printer and ensure that regular paper is available. When you click the OK button in the Message Box the Redemption Report is printed and you are returned to the Program Menu screen.
The following is an illustration of a completed gift certificate form. The actual size of a certificate is 7 inches Wide by 4 inches High.
