Skins Game

The Skins Game is an optional feature of the program which provides an opportunity to conduct a Skins competition for individual players in addition to the Swing Team and Individual Matches competitions.  The game is on a Gross and/or Net scores basis (either or both) and includes all players in the event..  Setup and processing of the game is done via the 'Skins Game Report' selection from the Events Reports submenu.

This display screen is presented when you make the 'Skins Game Report' selection.  It presents options for how you wish to conduct the game.  As you likely know, use of Carryovers in a Skins Game means that the value of a skin is increased on holes that follow tied holes.  For example, if the value of a skin is $5 and a hole is tied, the value of a skin on the next hole is $10.

If you choose Calculated Payoffs for the game you may choose either a Fixed Value for all skins won or an Entry Fee Basis where the value of a skin is determined by: Entry Fee x Number of Participants / Number of Skins Won.  If you do not specify Calculated Payoffs the Skins Results Report includes only identification of tied holes, the names of skins winners and the number of skins won..

When you click the Save button the program instantly calculates the game results and presents them on the screen illustrated below.

Note: If you use the Variable Method for handicaps in Event Setup, only the Gross Skins Game is available (the Net and Both option buttons are disabled).  Both Gross and Net games are available with the Fixed Method for handicaps.

As you can see, you have all the information you need, including complete financial information if you used the Calculated Payoffs option.

If you have specified a single game (Gross or Net), click the Print Report button to get a printed report of the game results.

If you have specified both Gross and Net games, the Gross results are displayed first and a Net Results button is presented for you to access a display of  the Net results.  Clicking the Print Report button from the Net results screen will give you a printed report for both games.

Clicking the Exit button returns you to the program menu screen.
