Changing Scores
Oops! It's not unusual that a player will occasionally enter a wrong score with the Player Scores Entry feature, e.g. incorrect score number, incorrect ratings, failure to designate a Tournament Score, etc. Although less likely, it's also possible that a wrong score can be entered with Staff Entry. In either case corrections can easily be made via the Change Scores button on the Player Maintenance Screen. Clicking this button results in presentation of the Change Scores Screen illustrated below.

This screen is virtually the same as the Add Scores Screen, with the addition of the "UTB" designations for scores used in the USGA, Trend or Both handicap calculations, and the presence of an Earlier Scores button which can be used to access up to 40 posted player scores. To make score changes simply overwrite the score information as necessary. For ease in editing, the Date and Course Rating fields are masked text boxes that retain the separator charcters (the Slash Character in Dates and the Decimal Point in Course Rating) as you edit the field content; you do not need to enter these characters as you make changes. The easiest way to change these fields is to delete the entire contents and enter just the numbers for the changed information. The Make T-Score and Make 9H Score buttons are "toggle switches" with which you can make or unmake the corresponding score types.
Important Note: Posted scores can be changed only via Player Maintenance and this screen. Players using the Player Scores Entry feature cannot change scores they have entered. This restriction has been implemented for handicap system integrity reasons.
