Handicap Cards
Handicap Cards are available from three sources within the GHM Program:
1. For individual players via the Handicap Card button on the Player Maintenance Screen.
2. For individual players via a choice on the Bulletin Board Screen of the Player Scores Entry feature.
3. In bulk for multiple players via a choice from the Utilities submenu of the Handicap Maintenance Menu.
The cards are printed on three types of forms from which you can choose in your System Parameters: Removable-adhesive Diskette Labels usable with Hewlett Packard laser printers and Hewlett Packard or Canon Inkjet printers (Avery Product Number 6490); Removable-adhesive labels for the optional SportsWare Handicap Card Printer; and plain paper. The Diskette Label and plain paper forms can be used with handicap card sources 1. and 3. above. The SportsWare Handicap Card Printer labels can be used with all three of the handicap card sources and are the only forms usable with the Player Scores Entry feature.
The illustrated handicap card label is from the SportsWare Handicap Card Printer as displayed on a screen from both the Staff Entry and Player Scores Entry features. Note the enclosure in brackets of scores used in the official handicap calculation and the letter suffixes on some of the scores. The "T" suffix denotes a Tournament Score; "C" denotes an 18-hole score created by combining two 9-hole scores. There are also "A" and "P" suffixes that denote Away and Penalty scores, respectively. For designated 9-Hole Players separate labels are available for 9-hole and 18-hole handicap information.
The SportsWare Handicap Card Printer is any Dymo LabelWriter printer that can use the larger label sizes. The labels used by GHM with these printers are the Dymo Removable Zip Disk Labels (Product Number 30370). This label is approximately 2"H x 2-3/8"W and is not the Address label shown in the illustration below.
Note: The Seiko and CoStar label printers supported in the DOS version of GHM are not supported in this Windows version.
