Player Group Pairings

It is via this screen that you take the final step in the Pairings process -- the formation of a final grouped Player List that can be used with other program features such as Start Time/Tee Assignments, Scorecards, Cart Signs, Bag Tags and Scoring.

All you need to do is select an option for your Grouping Method and click the Process button.  If you choose the Low-to-High Handicap Index or User Selected method you also must specify a a Group Size.  All of the Grouping Methods except User Selected are performed automatically by the program.  The AB through ABCDEF Pairings are done per the commonly accepted "Serpentine" method.  For example, for ABCD pairings the player field is divided into four groups by Handicap Index, i.e. A, B, C and D groups.  The first group is formed with the Best A, Worst B, Best C and Worst D players.  Subsequent groups are formed in the same way using the next applicable player in each group.  For User Selected Pairings, when you click the Process button you are presented with a screen on which you fill in the Group Number for each player.  Help for this task is available via the F1 Key when the screen is presented.

For all the automatic pairings the next screen you will see is a Player Groups Confirmation/Change screen on which the formed groups and their Group Handicaps are displayed and on which you can modify the content of the player groups, e.g. move or swap players from group to group.  You are also provided an option for printing a final Player List Report.  Help for this screen is available from the F1 Key when the screen is presented.

Click the Cancel button if you do not wish to proceed with player group formation.  Any previously prepared pairings are preserved.
