Data Integrity Analysis
Although GHM performs thorough error checking and provides warnings for invalid score entries, it is possible, especially in the Player Scores Entry feature, that invalid scores can be accepted for inclusion in the handicap databases. It is also possible that a physical problem with a hard drive can cause the recording of a score to be corrupted. The Data Integrity Analysis scans the databases for such scores and provides a printed report by player with the details of the scores, the reasons for their invalidity, and the action taken by the program. The reasons include a corrupted score record, scores with invalid Course or Slope Ratings for the score type, and scores with a very low Differential (e.g. a player enters a score of 9 instead of 90, gets warned, but still accepts the score).
We recommend that you perform the Data Integrity Analysis on a regular basis. Doing so at the time of each handicap revision is a good idea. The analysis proceeds automatically when you choose it from the System Functions Menu; a status window informs you of progress.
