User-Selected Player Groups

This screen is presented when you choose User Selected pairings from the Player Group Formation screen.  When the screen is first presented the only information that is visible is that at the top of the screen, i.e. the Display Players By box and the Maximum Group Size you have specified.  When you select the As Is, Name or Index/Hdcp option from the Display Players By box your Tournament Players List is presented (see the note below about the As Is choice).  If the list contains more than 30 players, Previous and Next buttons are displayed for navigating through the list.

The only active field on this screen is the Group Number field.  You simply fill in the Group Number for each player.  Be careful is assigning Group Numbers so that you provide Group Numbers for all players and do not exceed the Maximum Group Size for any Group Number.  If either situation occurs, when you click one of the Save buttons a "warning box" is presented from which you can accept the Group Number assignments as provided or return to the screen to modify assignments.

If you have previously formed Flights, the Flight Number assignments are shown on the screen.  You can eliminate flights by clicking the Clear Flights button, but you cannot change flight assignments from this screen.  This can be done after the final grouped Player List is formed by using the Update Existing Player List choice from the Preparation Menu.

Note the Report/Save/Exit and Save/Exit buttons.  The only difference is that the former proceeds to a screen on which the grouped Player List is displayed and from which a printed report can be obtained.  In both cases the final grouped Player List is saved.

Once you have a final grouped Player List you can make changes to it via the Update Existing Player List choice from the Preparation Menu.

Note: The As Is choice for displaying your Tournament Players List is useful if you have originally formed the list in a sequence that corresponds with the order in which you wish to assign Group Numbers (e.g. where you've entered players by team for a team event).  That way you can go through the list much more quickly than working in a "hunt and peck" mode through a list organized by Player Name or Index/Handicap.
